Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 Receives A ‘T-Rating’

The Spider-Man 2 rating’s summary also doesn’t reveal anything new about the game. Spider-Man 2 only mentions that Miles Morales and Peter Parker are playable characters, that they can use unique symbiote- and electricity-based attacks, that some enemies have guns, that there are some illicit activity and light swearing, and that these things are all common in a superhero’s day.

It appears the next sequel won’t have a lot of cruelty or gore, in keeping with the two games that came before it and had the same classification. Given that Venom will also appear in the upcoming game, this may turn some fans off. The “Teen” rating for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 makes it extremely unlikely that fans will get to witness Venom in his violent, beastly, ferocious side.

Spider-Man 2 Rating Is Not A Surprise

With the introduction of the entity, Marvel, PlayStation, and Insomniac Games had the ideal pretext to explore Spider-Man 2’s narrative’s darker elements. It is quite doubtful, though, given this movie’s “Teens” rating, that the story would explore the Venom symbiote’s darker aspects and may even restrict its effects on Miles and Peter. In the past, dumbing down Venom’s plot to cater to a larger audience has had very divisive outcomes, with the 2018 Venom film serving as a classic example.

Despite being a monetary success, this movie never attracted the kind of fan base that one might anticipate from a standalone production about the titular figure.

The Wolverine movie Logan, which was given an “M” rating as opposed to a PG-13 one, allowed for more mature storytelling that was character-focused and comic book-true. Similar to this, an “M” rated Spider-Man game that allowed players to see Venom’s chaotic side may have greatly improved the story and its engagement.
