Spring Loaded 2021 Overview: Biggest Take-Away

Apple recently managed to wrap up the company’s springtime event “Spring Loaded”. The event was filled to the brim with news and featured new iMacs and iPads among many other devices.

Expectations High After Spring Loaded

Apple revealed the latest tablets in the iPad Pro line. They have the same M1 Apple chip that powers the MacBook Pro, the Mac mini, and MacBook Air, as well as the latest iMac. The model measures 12.9 inches which is an upgrade. The display has mini LEDs that number 10,000. Apple dubbed the display technology, Liquid Retina XDR. The two iPad Pros will also be having new ultra-wide cameras of 12MP. In a video call, the camera can track you automatically.

They are up for pre-order from 30th April with it coming to the market later on in May. The price tag for the smaller 11-inch variant and the larger 12.9-inch variant are $799 and $1099 respectively.

The latest iMac is a complete redesign. The ultra-thin PC comes with a screen spanning 24 inches and a FaceTime 1080p camera. The Spring Loaded event reveal also showed it having a wireless keyboard with touch authentication. The range begins from $1299 with the best specs costing $1499. AirTags have been officially released as well, with a price tag of $29. Apple’s TV 4K has a new chipset in it – the A12 bionic. It powers the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max. The TV will begin at $179. The remote for the TV has been redesigned as well.

As for the entertainment side, Apple’s beloved Ted Lasso is getting a second season. The trailer was aired in Spring Loaded. A purple-colored iPhone 12 will soon be available as well. Finally, the company is going to launch in-app subscriptions for its Podcasts app. Along with the app being redesigned, it will be released in over 150 regions.
