Stop Using Peloton Tread+, Warns Consumer Agency

Almost exactly one year back, John Foley, Peloton Tread+ CEO, in his open letter regarding his company’s treadmill wrote about him reaching many people after he learned about the tragic accident of a child in the Peloton Tread+ which unfortunately resulted in the death of the child.

He also added that while there are only a known couple of incidents that resulted in children getting hurt, every incident is very devastating to the people at Peloton. He added that their hearts are also weeping for all of those families involved. Today, the Consumer Safety Commission of the US issued its warning regarding Peloton Tread+ asking all the users to cut off on its use.

CEO Hits Back At CPSC’S Statement Regarding Peloton Tread+

The CPSC stated citing a total of 39 incidents, its findings. It has been noticed that the safety and health of the public require them to notify the public immediately of this hazard. Peloton replied that the press release of the CPSC which was done unilaterally regarding the Peloton Tread+ was misleading and inaccurate. They said that there appears no reason in front of the public to cut down on the use of Peloton Tread+ if they follow all the safety instructions and warnings.

The warning of the commission includes multiple injuries of many people including a pet and small children. Specifically, this note is for users having children in the manner in which they are supposed to cease the use of this product. However, another much sterner warning was given by Foley in March who told users not to keep pets and children close to the system. He also asked users to store their gadgets at a place where children cannot find them after using them.
