On June 7th, Google released the Beta 3 version of Android 14 via a post on their blog. It is software meant to be pre-released, and hence, the intended purpose is bug-fixing. The 5G variant of Pixel 4A and newer models will be able to run it. The complete Android 14 for the public should arrive in the fall, following one more beta scheduled for July.
What’s New In Android 14?
In general, Android 14 is expected to introduce revamps and tweaks. This should include updates for the system UI of Android as well as security and privacy improvements. The Beta 3 version of this OS is Google’s most recent preview of the mobile system. Developers got their hands on it first via the developer preview, before the public release happens.
Installing developer previews of Android systems was not very easy before Android 14’s beta releases. To do so, users would have to unlock developer options, download a relatively large file, and factory reset the device, before doing other steps as well. It is a lot simpler now to not only download but also install the most recent beta of Android.
Android 14’s final version is expected to be the easiest to get, although it is not scheduled for arrival until the latter part of 2023. Until then, if your Android device can support the software, then go to the Android Beta for Pixel webpage on the computer.
It is important to note that this developer preview of Android 14 is expected to have bugs that can make the phone much harder to use. As such, do not touch the beta unless you are aware and willing to face such issues or if the device is used as a backup for the usual phone.
