This Tim Cook Habit Could Nearly Solve Vision Pro’s Biggest Challenge

Tim Cook has mentioned that he uses his Vision Pro daily. Over the past year, he has frequently referred to a particular habit connected to the device that significantly enhances his experience: lying down. After trying this technique myself, I can confirm that it can significantly mitigate the Vision Pro’s most prominent issue.

Lying Down Eases the Burden of Vision Pro’s Weight

Recently, I finally decided to purchase a Vision Pro. Since then, I’ve been looking for effective ways to utilize the device, naturally drawing inspiration from Apple’s CEO.

Cook has often stated that home entertainment is a primary use case for him. When indulging in Apple TV+ and other content at home, he prefers to lie down flat.

According to Ben Cohen from The Wall Street Journal:

I asked Cook how he employs it. At work, of course, when he needs multiple windows open for multitasking. But especially at home. “I’ve always thought that having to sit in a specific spot in your living room is quite restrictive,” he mentions. He enjoys lying flat on the sofa, projecting Ted Lasso and The Morning Show on the ceiling, and gazing into the Vision Pro. “It’s a much more enjoyable way to watch something than to be seated like a statue in front of a TV,” he asserts.

Last night, I tried out Tim Cook’s method, lying down to enjoy some TV on the Vision Pro.

Surprisingly, it turned out to be an excellent experience.

You can completely relax, cast a giant screen onto your ceiling, and achieve a theater-like atmosphere right in your home.

What I paid particular attention to was how the Vision Pro felt on my face while lying down.

Weight is often considered the Vision Pro’s most notable drawback. While it is also costly, when assessing the product’s performance alone, weight undeniably stands out as the primary concern.

Lying down doesn’t completely eliminate that heaviness, as it still presses down on your face. However, it is far more comfortable than using the Vision Pro while upright.

It appears that Apple’s CEO may have a valid point about lying down with the Vision Pro frequently.

How often do you find yourself using the Vision Pro while lying down? Do you find it more comfortable? Share your thoughts in the comments.
