Threads Experiments with New Feature for Post Scheduling

Meta is currently enhancing its microblogging platform, Threads, with a variety of new features, including one that users have eagerly anticipated: the ability to schedule posts for a later time.

Scheduling Posts on Threads: Coming Soon

The official Threads account on the social network has announced that this scheduling feature is in the testing phase with a limited group of users. Meta mentioned that it would roll out to all Threads users “soon,” although a specific date has yet to be provided.

This upcoming feature will allow users to draft a post and set it to publish automatically at a specified date and time. Once it’s live, users can access the scheduling option by tapping the three-dot menu in the post composer. Scheduled posts will be stored in the drafts folder, clearly labeled with their scheduled time. Users can edit or delete these posts before they go live.

Recently, Meta has been increasing its effort to introduce new functionalities for Threads, particularly as its competitor Bluesky gains traction. Earlier this month, it began allowing users to follow accounts from other users, though with some restrictions. Threads now also supports landscape video viewing and the option to select a Custom Feed as the default view.

The Threads app can be downloaded for free from the App Store. Make sure to have the latest version installed to access new features, such as the upcoming scheduling option for posts.
