This year, Threads initiated trials for Custom Feeds, allowing users to tailor their experience by focusing on specific content. Months later, Meta is officially launching Custom Feeds for all Threads app users worldwide.
Custom Feeds Now Available in the Threads App
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has confirmed that Custom Feeds are now accessible to users globally within the Threads app. This feature operates similarly to creating columns from search results on the desktop version. To view all their feeds in the mobile app, users simply need to pull down on the Threads homepage.
To set up a new feed, search for a topic in the Threads app and tap the three-dot menu. Threads will offer options to create a new feed from that search result or to incorporate that keyword into an existing feed.
Additionally, with this update, Threads is enhancing user experience by allowing them to select whether to see search results based on suggested posts, the most recent posts, or user profiles.
In a recent announcement, Meta disclosed plans to introduce ads on Threads next year, a move reflecting the platform’s impressive growth, currently boasting over 200 million monthly active users.
The Threads app is available for free on the App Store, requiring an iPhone with iOS 15.1 or newer. Ensure your app is updated to the latest version to access these exciting new features.
