tvOS 18.4 Released with Fresh Design Updates for the Apple TV App

Apple has launched a series of software updates across its platforms, including iOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, and others. While tvOS 18.4 is a somewhat minor update, it introduces several appealing features to the Apple TV app. Here’s what has changed.

User Interface Enhancements to the Apple TV App in tvOS 18.4

If you’re an Apple TV 4K user, it’s highly likely that the Apple TV app is one of your frequently used applications.

Alongside it, Netflix and YouTube are probably the other top contenders, but the TV app is distinctly developed by Apple for tvOS users.

In the latest tvOS 18.4 update, Apple has introduced a few tweaks to the user interface.

Some of the most prominent updates can be seen in the featured title carousel.

At the top of the TV app’s interface, there are three significant enhancements:

  1. A large plus button to conveniently add titles to your Watchlist
  2. A prominent ‘i’ button for quickly accessing a title’s information page
  3. Improved visibility of a show’s release schedule details

Although these changes may seem minor, they have greatly improved navigation during the beta testing phase, making the app easier to use than ever.

As you scroll further down within the TV app’s interface, you’ll spot updated fonts and icons.

For instance, various content sections boast unique new icon designs, including:

  • Movies Spotlight
  • Sports
  • Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+

While these updates aren’t monumental, it’s encouraging to see Apple enhance the app’s design as its user base grows, making it more accessible and user-friendly.
