Ubisoft Recently Went Through A Cyber Security Incident

Ubisoft recently experienced a cyber security incident that went on to temporarily disrupt its games, services, and systems. The company hasn’t yet mentioned who was responsible for this, but on Friday evening, the group of hackers that had hacked Nvidia previously have taken credit for this. The company believes that currently there seems to be no evidence that any player’s personal information was exposed or accessed as a by-product of this incident. But as a precautionary measure, the company has initiated a company-wide password reset.

Ubisoft, Nvidia, and Samsung Hacked By The Same Group

News of the cyber security indecent did spread pretty fast amid a recent wave of other high-profile hacks. Nvidia, the graphics card company, did confirm on the 1st of March that it had been hacked, and also mentioned that the hackers have been leaking the information of employees and proprietors. Samsung also stated on the 7th of March that hackers had done away with source code and company data for the Galaxy devices. The LAPSUS$ hacking group has taken full responsibility for these breaches, along with the Ubisoft breach.

In fact, that doesn’t seem to be the end of the story. Last Friday saw the group posting a link to an article along with the emoji on their Telegram channel- where they took responsibility for the Ubisoft incident as well. While responding to a user on the channel, the group did confirm that they had not been targeting the customer information of this company.
