Occasionally, rare memorabilia from Apple’s formative years come up for auction. If you’re among those who collect such treasures, RR Auction is currently offering an extraordinary business card autographed by Steve Jobs—provided you’re prepared to spend a few thousand dollars.
Bids for Jobs’ signed card have reached $75,000
This specific card originates from 1983, just a year prior to Apple’s debut of the first Macintosh. The card displays the name “Steven Jobs” along with his designation as “Chairman Board of Directors.” Jobs’ signature is inscribed in black ink and features Apple’s legendary rainbow logo. RR Auction has certified its authenticity, despite noting “minor imperfections.”
RR Auction emphasizes that Jobs was known for being “choosy about signing memorabilia,” lending to the rarity and desirability of signed items among collectors. Among the 15 Jobs business cards auctioned by the platform, just four are from this period, and only one bears his signature. “This lot represents the second signed 1983 example, making it one of the few business cards signed by Jobs from Apple,” the platform elaborates.
Bobby Livingston, Executive Vice President of RR Auction, remarks that “Jobs’s signed business cards symbolize a tangible link to the founder of one of the most transformative companies globally.”
The auction will remain open until February 20, with current bids for the signed card having climbed to $75,000. The next bidding threshold is set at $82,500. According to RR Auction, bids are “consistently rising” and outstripping their initial projections.
Additionally, the platform is also auctioning a replica SpaceX helmet signed by Elon Musk, currently bidding at $2,338.
