With the public rollout of iOS 18.2, Apple is also introducing watchOS 11.2 for Apple Watch users today. While iOS 18.2 brings new features related to Apple Intelligence, watchOS 11.2 is not as substantial but includes an enhancement to the Camera Remote app.
What’s new in watchOS 11.2
There’s little to note about watchOS 11.2 aside from the usual bug fixes and enhancements. However, users of the Camera Remote app on the Apple Watch will appreciate a new capability that allows pausing video recordings. This feature was previously introduced for iPhone users with iOS 18.0 in September.
Additionally, Apple Watch users in China can now monitor tidal conditions with the newly added Tides feature from watchOS 11.
To update your Apple Watch, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update. Remember, the Apple Watch must have a minimum battery charge of 50% and be connected to a charger to perform the update.
