Recently, Tim Cook pointed out that the Apple Vision Pro is an “early adopter product.” Priced at $3,500, it’s a significant investment, which leaves some potential buyers hesitant. Nonetheless, Vision Pro has proven effective in particular areas, as Jon M. Chu, the director of “Wicked,” shared his experience using Apple’s headset during the film’s post-production phase.

Jon M. Chu expressed how he took advantage of the Apple Vision Pro while working on “Wicked.” He noted that Vision Pro greatly facilitated the process of reviewing the film’s post-production on a substantial virtual screen, allowing him to collaborate with colleagues across different locations.
“For Wicked, we dealt with numerous visual effects from around the globe,” Chu remarked. “From my home, I had a display larger than what we had in the screening room while communicating with team members situated on various continents, watching the playback simultaneously.”
At one point, the director highlighted the ability to use his hands to zoom in and make “drawings” on the screen to indicate areas for editing. “It adds a new dimension to your perspective,” he described. Utilizing Apple Vision Pro’s spatial computing capabilities, users can open and manipulate several windows at once within their tangible surroundings.
