Social media platforms X and Bluesky are introducing dedicated video feeds, seemingly to capitalize on the ongoing uncertainty surrounding TikTok.
X has rolled out a new play button that activates a continuous video feed reminiscent of TikTok, while Bluesky is offering personalized video feeds that users can opt to pin as they wish.
Today, X shared its announcement via a tweet featuring a short video demonstration.

In the app, the play button is located at the bottom, situated between the Grok and notification buttons, as illustrated above.
Bluesky commented on its own announcement, stating that it “felt the need to join the video trend as well.”
We had to get in on the video action too — Bluesky now offers custom feeds for video! Like any other feed, you can choose to pin these or not. Bluesky allows you to customize it to your liking.
Both platforms’ initiatives are undoubtedly reactions to the ongoing uncertainty regarding TikTok’s future. You can catch up on this weekend’s developments here. The app is still not available in app stores, and even if Trump follows through with a promised 90-day delay on the US ban, it only postpones the inevitable.
The Chinese government has made it clear that it will not sell TikTok’s US operations to an American entity, preferring to take the app offline rather than comply. According to the law, however, it must either sell or face a ban in the US.
