X Premium+ Subscription Price Hike
The latest Grok model’s access is restricted to X Premium+ subscribers, and Musk seems to believe they are ready to pay substantially more for it. TechCrunch was quick to highlight the sudden price increase.

This marks the second price increase for the Premium+ plan in recent months. Back in December, the subscription fee rose from $16 to $22 per month. According to the revised pricing, Premium+ subscribers will be paying more than double what they originally spent.
Even at that price, complete access to all features of Grok 3 might not be available – some functionalities necessitate a separate SuperGrok package.
Confusion Over Pricing
However, Ivan Mehta from the site points out that X seems to be puzzled about its own pricing.
Upon attempting to enroll in the Premium+ plan, X indicated a monthly price of $39.83 ($477.95 annually), yet the final checkout page displayed a yearly rate of $395.
Additionally, while X’s support page states that a monthly subscription costs $50, the sign-up page shows a $48.40 monthly fee, and the checkout page is charging $40 per month.
So, while it’s clear you’ll end up paying more, the exact amount seems to be a matter of chance. Perhaps the company should enlist a savvy AI to sort this out.
