When Apple first introduced its AirPods in 2016, the competition stepped up its game and is currently providing an excellent selection of TWS earbuds with an ever-expanding feature set at ever-increasing discounts.
With its Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro earbuds, which are more focused on the former than the latter, Xiaomi attempts once more this year. They ask for more than rivals like OnePlus Buds Pro 2 or even Samsung’s Galaxy Buds2 Pro which are somewhat similar to the AirPods Pro. Xiaomi’s Buds set themselves a rather lofty goal of €250. There is a lot to cover in this review because they include all the bells and whistles: high-quality streaming, active noise reduction, a long battery life, dimensional audio, and head tracking.
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro Are A Good Choice
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro opted for a sleek, sophisticated design, and the color scheme is official rather than playful. There is a Star Gold variant in addition to the Space Black one that we have. With a matte finish on the bottom and a glossy one on the lid, both variants include two-tone designs. This part of the joke caused considerable division among office coworkers since some thought it was “too much” while others didn’t.
However, the glossy texture of the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro lid attracts grease and smudges, which are also extremely obvious. The earphones are kept upright in a housing that has a space-ship-like appearance. The earphones are kept in their molds by powerful magnets. The lid is held firmly in place without any movement whatsoever thanks to the magnets. The LED indication showing the battery level and the status of charging is located close to the bottom of the casing. A pairing button is also included next to the USB-C port.
