2024 Spotify Wrapped is Here
For those who may not know, Spotify Wrapped is an annual retrospective feature similar to Apple Music Replay, which launched its 2024 edition yesterday. Wrapped enables users to reflect on their year through insights into their top songs, albums, artists, and even podcasts.
This year, Spotify Wrapped introduces exciting new elements. For instance, it reveals up to three musical phases that encapsulate your year, based on the genres and artists you’ve gravitated towards. Additionally, your musical journey is presented in a curated playlist that includes familiar tracks along with novel suggestions linked to your musical phases.
Among the updates, Wrapped will now display your “Longest Listening Streak” for favored artists, as well as the “Top Listeners” metric, indicating your standing compared to fellow listeners of your favorite artist. Furthermore, for the first time, Spotify will curate a playlist featuring your most-watched music videos in regions where this is possible. Expect brief messages from artists like ROSÉ, Billie Eilish, and Sabrina Carpenter as part of your Wrapped experience.
In collaboration with Google, Spotify introduces AI capabilities to this year’s Wrapped. Users can interact with an AI chatbot to create personalized playlists based on their Wrapped data. Where applicable, an AI DJ will offer commentary reflecting on your year, accompanied by your top tracks. Also, Spotify will produce a podcast highlighting your 2024 Wrapped, using AI technology (available only in certain regions).

With the launch of the 2024 Wrapped, Spotify also disclosed its global rankings of the most-streamed artists and songs among its users for the year. Taylor Swift claimed the title of the most-streamed artist on Spotify in 2024, while Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” emerged as the year’s most-played song.
